I had a massive LSR boost - and that is when I started eating my words... My experience was slightly more like John's and slightly less like Walter's - But like you say, that water path makes a difference. I am LOOKING at water... Port Angeles up to Neah Bay -- but that is a "body" of water - not the Pacific... then again... John looks at a "Strait" I also believe (no offense gents) that perception plays a lot into what we actually think is happening... I am not a big fan of SDR's and the associated software -- like Spectra-Vue... but what it does do is tell it like it is. When I first looked at 1310 UTC I would have written of the morning as a dud - but I waited... and when I did, I was getting audio on blocks of frequencies on the Eton E1 and the Drake R8 with balcony mounted "under utilized" ALA100's -- With a better location I, too, would have been singing a similar song to John - but I am where I am... and I can extrapolate from that... that this morning was hopping for those in more ideal locations. -- Colin Newell - Editor - coffeecrew.com | coffee.bc.ca | DXer.ca Web-Design / E-Commerce / Writing Victoria, British Columbia, Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
