Things were down quite a bit this morning, both on an early run and
later at dawn. The JJs were dpminant early, as is normal now, but
they hung around much longer than has been the norm in October. The
high band was basically blank until dawn enhancement and then was
populated with about a dozen of mixed CCs and JJs. The better than
normal JJ conditions brought with them a return of the two Russians,
576 and 648, though they were at lower levels than their glory days
of late September. This season, their appearance seems tied to good
JJ conditions.
Others of note: NHK2 Synchros on 702, 666 Osaka doing well late, 711
Korea doing well late, 945//1377 CNR1 both doing 9s late after dawn.
Overall, the station count was down and the levels were down from the
fantastic Saturday AM.... but still interesting.
Added five to the Ultralight count, thanks to the Slider E100,
including JOWF on 1440 (that was an "antenna rather than receiver" reception.)
