Thanks for the kind words everyone. The examiner wanted me to do all the tests at once based on my technical background (Electronics Tech for 29 years - Red Seal apprentice and journeyman) but I wanted to do better than just passing. I am not sure what the exams are like in the U.S. but in Canada, the level 2 Advanced involved stuff I learned 20 years ago; lots of classic circuits, tongue twisting formula, scientific calculators required, etc. It is all about being able to build telecom equipment and do it right. Anyway - thanks everyone! I will advise on the call-sign once my choice is approved... Get this: My number one pick for a call sign ends in "WWV" Ironic? Maybe. -- Colin Newell - Editor - coffeecrew.com | coffee.bc.ca | DXer.ca Web-Design / E-Commerce / Writing Victoria, British Columbia, Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
