Listened from 1450 to 1545UT again this morning, and it wasn't wildly exciting, though had its moments. One was CNR1 on 1593 thundering in like an NHK2 flamethrower, and the other was hearing (very briefly) Taiwan on 783 and 1143. At 1505UT, however, it appeared that things were shutting down for the day, so these later bits of DX came as a pleasant surprise. 1566 once again kept a carrier up until its 1800UT s/off, and the 1600UT NHK2 s/off on 774 was reasonably strong.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): 774 JOUB 828 JOBB 873 JOGB, strongest NHK2 at 1503UT, a bit of a surprise 1593 CNR1 //5030; big signal at 1533UT reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise): 279 R. Rossii 567 JOIK //594; neither really came up to any strength until after 1510UT 594 JOAK 747 JOIB 1044 CRI w/JJ talk briefly at 1519UT not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 153 and 189 R. Rossii 585 JOPG//594 at 1511 603 w/mx at 1526, Korea? 612 JOLK//594 at 1509 639 CNR1//5030 at 1523UT 1134 big carrier this morning, but audio never very good; best at 1525 1143 Taiwan //738 at 1538UT 1323 likely CRI 1386 NHK2 synchros//774 at 1520 1503 JOUK//567 at 1533 1566 with the big carrier 1575 Burbles in the splatter and noise (the bulk of these snagged at sunrise lift around 1530UT): 180 531 JOQG //594 at 1512 558 657 likely N. Korea u/hum on channel 693 JOAB //774 756 855 likely N.
