Greatly inferior morning to what I've experienced the last couple of weeks.
Poorish audio on the big guns, and mostly quite weak carriers on the other
channels.

Don't know what's going on, as K index is low, and so is the solar wind, and
the auroral zone was hardly there
(http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/pmap/OverviewN.html). The antennas still seem to be
up. Dare I suggest the midwinter "anomaly"?

However, HLAZ stuck in there again, with good carrier and audio traces at
1734UT, though nothing like yesterday. Heard best on the 1.5m square ALA100
loop.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

774 JOUB (quite briefly)

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash
or noise):

594 JOAK
747 JOIB
828 JOBB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

279 R. Rossii; big carrier
612 definitely DU; likely 4QR
972 HLCA

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

none?

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1134

best wishes,

Nick
