Discovering that the modified portables work much better in the frozen
back yard than inside the warm house, the 30" loopstick ICF-2010 and Slider
E100 were taken out to the icy picnic table in the patio, whereupon the Slider
E100 made a nice MP3 of male-voice audio from presumed Croatia on 1134 (from
0202-0203Z). 1575-Farda was tried for, but the frequency is a wasteland
here, with a local on 1580 and semi-local on 1560. This was my first
Ultralight TA (trans-Arctic?)
