Hi, Patrick. As you might know, I have an urban back yard with many antennae
in a very small area....I have 3 Conti loops, a K9AY (presently unused....and
for sale!), a T2FD, a vertical for VHF/UHF, and the ALA 100. I've never
noticed any interaction, and on the Charlottes, which might be closer to what
you have, definitely no issues with interaction. I wouldn't worry about that.
The idea of an ALA loop 60 to 80' X 25' would be most intriguing and worth
pursuing. I had the idea of converting one of my lesser used Conti loops and
doing exactly that....something worth trying I think! I'll have to wait for a
nice day. I have a feeling that it would outperform your Beverage on LW and
remain very quiet! I suppose that coax under the water wouldn't be a problem
with some of that weatherproof stuff that's sold for satellite TV setups. You
might still consider that option, although the stuff is expensive....might find
some cheap on eBay......Walt.
