United Christian Broadcasters has applied for a new AM station in
Toronto ON on 1480 (the old CKAN Newmarket ON frequency) with
1kW days, 0.5 kW night:

WHBC would cream them at night. As I recall, none of the now-defunct rimshotters in what is now known as the 905 (CHOO-1390 Ajax, CKAR-1350 Oshawa, CHIC/CKMW-790 Brampton) put a halfway decent nighttime signal into downtown or mid-town Toronto.

So why not resurrect CFYZ-1280?
