Am listening to 540, and a 1kHz tone just popped on for a minute or two and went off. The specrum was visible and it was equally audible on LSB/USB. Didn't sound like the short tone for "CBS Channel 42" thing we occasionally hear.
No clue who. I can hear FF, probably CBC CBGA-1 and oldies, probably WGOP. Lots of other things including the usual low frequency het on the upper side.
