Hi Guys: I have an UNID Spanish Station heard last night at 0140 -0155 EST on 900 Khz. I don't think this was XEW from Mexico, which I have heard several times before?? This just didn't sound that Mexican like??
As far as I can see there are only 3 Spanish Stations from USA on 900 Khz...One from Delaware, One from Maryland, and One from Western Tennessee. The bearing on this station with the ULR and Loop was SOUTHWEST from me here in London, Ontario. That would rule out the Delaware and Maryland Stations...but would be right in line with WKDA from Lebanon, TENN. I see that BRANDON JORDAN logged WKDA on JAN/13/09 from his Location down in Memphis...Brandon if you reading this ....can you say if this sounds like WKDA's type of Programming?? The station was mixing with my Semi-Local CHML Hamilton Ontario...and of course even though I did hear some talking....was not able to hear any ID!! Anyone who hears XEW regularly can tell me if they play English Pop Music at this time of the morning???? Or do they pretty much play Spanish Tunes with Spanish Talk?? I thought XEW was mainly a Talk Station?? Here's what I heard......... Radio Used was....................SONY SRF-T615 with 2 1/2 Foot Homebrew Tunable Box Loop. ULR RADIO LOGS are now.........631 Stations Heard. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ************************************************************************* 900 UNID SW from London, Ont.
