Scott/Doug - Do you have any insight on WGIV and their loud signal
before their LSR / daytime changeover time? I heard them at 0630 EST -
could they legally have their 16Kw rig on that time? IIRC, their
changeover time for Feb is 0700. Is that correct? I'm reasonably sure
that they were not 45 watts.

I know that we've discussed this before, when and why did the FCC start
throwing high powers on the once 5 Kw max Regionals (WWJ-MI 950, WBOB-FL
1320, WOOD-MI 1300, WHKY-NC 1290 and so on)?

Thanks,
Dave in Indy

One new logging to the overall book and a handful to the ULR only
logbook.

Sunday morning at about 0630 EST I heard a loud Black Gospel talker on
1370. It was a segment called "Pastor Call," where churches called in
with their schedules. Station phone numbers matched w/WGIV Gastonia,
NC, a new one for me. Question - are they authorized the 16Kw rig before
LSR? It looks like 0700 is there daytime changeover time for Feb. Over
the weekend, I also added (previously logged) 1190 Dunlap, TN, 640 IA,
1690 IL, 1580 WLIJ TN and 1550 Huntsville AL to the ULR only logbook.

1370 WGIV NC Gastonia 2-22 0630 Loud at times w/Gospel programming. No
ID's but station phone # fit. New! DH-IN
