This morning again wasn't stellar, though it seems that if you listen long
enough, you'll hear quite a lot of weak signals popping up briefly. This
morning I was at the dials from 1410 to 1440UTC, and heard quite a few
stations, but most were very weak, and very transitory, and little was
unexpected. Finding directions was quite difficult; a weak 576 was assumed
to be DU as it was better on the west Flag, yet when talk started, it wasn't
EE inflection, RR more likely?. The loop really wasn't much help on this or
on a number of others, so presumably these were high arrival angle signals.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

594 JOAK
774 JOUB
972 HLCA

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash
or noise):

747 JOIB
828 JOBB
1575 VoA w/ SE Asian talk, peaking at 1438UT; this isn't particularly strong
earlier

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

none, expect for the above fading down and up

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

189 likely R. Rossii
558 two stations? likely Japan/ Korea?
567 JOIK? seemed //594
576 unID; possibly Russia, pretty sure it was non-EE, but no direction finding
possible
603 HLSA?
648 VoR?
693 JOAB //774
738 could have been CC talk at 1429UT; not DU
873 JOGB //828
954 JOKR?
1134 ?
1242 possibly JOLF
1314 mx at 1417UT, possibly JOUF
1593 seemed //5030, so CNR-1

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 279
(as if station was just an OC; this would have been strong enough for audio on
other mornings), 855 big hum likely N. Korea, 1098 DU, 1206 off channel likely
CRI, 1566, 1584 w/hum at 1439UT

best wishes,

Nick
