Again, at first glance at 1300UT, the band looked pretty quiet, but signals kept popping up out the undergrowth erratically over the next 20 minutes.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): 774 JOUB at 1320UT; poorer before then 828 JOBB reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise): 279 R. Rossii; strongest in awhile 594 JOAK 738 Tahiti FF talk and mx; someone else there also? 1566 HLAZ; also at 1349UT recheck, but weaker than this not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 747 JOIB 936 unID, Anhui again? 972 HLCA 1053 100Hz hummer, about 8 carriers on this channel (not counting the sidebands) 1206 presumed CRI w/man talking. This was strong enough to hear the hum as modulating the voice; this must sound pretty bad to the intended audience. 1575 likely VoA 1242 JJ inflected talk, 1329 Burbles in the splatter and noise: 189 R. Rossii //279 963 CRI?? couldn't get 1323 up for a parallel, though it showed promises 1134 seemed //972, so S. Korea 1143 unID, mx 1287 JOHR? 1377 seemed //5030, so CNR-1 Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1242, 1251, 1422 best wishes, Nick ********** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
