Hi Kevin,
Let me know what store you buy your slinkys at. I checked Fred Meyer today and
none found. Maybe Toys R us?
If I could get 4 of them, I would take them to Grayland, hopefully in a few
weeks and maybe make a broad band loop?
Dennis,

Subject: Re: [IRCA] Perseus SDR and Slinky Flag Antenna
Hey Guy/Dennis:
What do the dimensions look like for the unit on the video? I am guessing
a square about 8 feet per side. At that rate, two slinkies would do it.
For David to be picking up TA on 790 in his attic is remarkable indeed.
For those of us without an attic to exploit, I am wondering if four
lengths of PVC formed into a square would be good for this, and could
probably be taken down and reassembled easily if one was not able to leave
it up 24/7. While David had the horizontal slinky supported with taught
string or clotheline, the horizontal PVC arms/legs could serve this
function as well. A more permanent outdoor unit could be constructed
using wide-diameter PVC formed into a square, such that the slinky was
able to run inside the PVC and be sealed up.
Hmmm... I think I'm suddenly busy this weekend....
