I hadn't realized they were off...... It must've been one heck of a power surge.

WENATCHEE --- KPQ AM Radio resumed broadcasting on AM 560 Monday after a seven-day shutdown for repairs. The station, owned by Cherry Creek Radio, went off the air April 26 after an "extreme power surge" blew out its transmitter, said Dan Conway, the station's general manager. During the the outage, KPQ programming was broadcast on its sister station, AM 1340, The Zone. Engineers at first ordered parts for what they thought would be a quick repair but found the entire transmitter had to be replaced, he said. "It's a very expensive item," he said. "It's unfortunate, but there's nothing you can do about it except get a new one." Conway said the company is working with its insurer to determine the cause of the power surge.
