Hi all: It looks like Kchibo is using Silicon Labs DSP chips, judging by the translated version of: http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/luohuang2007/article?mid=1144 For the D96L, it mentions that it has the antenna level and SNR readout, plus the variable fast-slow tuning of the TecsunPL-300WT, so it probably uses the same SILABS chip. It also has variable bandwidth, and looks pretty big, so it may not be an ULR.
The D97L looks smaller and more modestly featured, and may be an ULR. At any rate, perhaps Kchibo will finally have a good receiver or two, since they are not actually making the receiver part :-) Kevin S Bainbridge Island, WA _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
