As Steve pointed out, this was a pretty good morning, but here that showed up as quite a lot of Asiatic signals. In chronological order, more or less:
279....man in RR poor 1056, fair by 1111UT, and kept up that way for the next half hour. No other LW RR heard. 1503 woman talking, too murky to tell language at 1053UT, then into island style choral mx...didn't sound like NZ or Japan, but Kosrae is rather a longshot 1287 JOHR. Man in JJ poor 1057, fair by 1108UT, quite clear JJ talk by man and woman 1512...man in DU EE 1058UT, likely 2RN; this was pretty consistent through the next half hour, although most other DX was Asian for the first 20 minutes. 828 JOBB. woman in JJ //774 at 1101UT. 1593 JOTB/JOQB oriental flute mx, followed by woman talking, briefly poor //828 1103UT. 747 JOIB flute mx and woman talking //774 at 1110UT; this much weaker than 774 and 828 954 JOKR? seemed JJ talk by man 1113UT , poor 738 Tahiti; FF talk man/woman 1115UT, fair at times 1611 weak pop vocal mx 1116UT, seemed to be talk in there too? 1098 big carrier; audio traces; NZ creeping through? 1118UT 1134 JJ talk at 1118UT, JOQR? too much splash to tell. 774 JOUB. fair to good signal, but still lots of splatter, man in JJ talk 1119UT 1107 poor, at 1122UT, sounded DU EE by man? 2EA listed as ethnic; anything from NZ here at the moment? 792 man and woman talking at 1122UT, poor but seemed //1512, which was fair at this time. 4RN. 594 JOAK. man in JJ poor to fair to briefly good at 1125UT 1503 JOUK? poor w/talk at 1126UT, may have been //594; one other station there also which faded up to DU EE by man poor to fair 1127, so likely NZ. 693 JOAB. Briefly poor to fair, man in JJ //774 which wasn't quite as good at this time 1128 1008, 1017,1035, 1107, 1116, 1143 all with audio traces after 1200UT, usually DU sounding talk, but too much splash. 1116 was the best of this lot, likely 4BC. best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
