John, Having somehow managed to drag myself out of bed for DXing this morning (and receiving audio from 3 DU's on a large passive loop), I would have to agree with Walt-- it was a totally DU morning here. There wasn't a trace of any JA audio anywhere, not even with the fanatical 30" loopstick ICF-2010 coupled up to an 8' passive loop. Your TP report sounds exactly the opposite of what I heard :>) 73, Gary (listening to a nice MP3 from 738-Tahiti this morning) In a message dated 8/19/2009 8:48:35 A.M. Man, Walter and I weren't listening to the same band this morning.... Its happened before, but I can't remember THIS much difference. (Our houses would be in sight of each other, were it not for an intervening low hill.) My morning was also from about 1245 until 1310, with dawn around 1305. 567 T (probably DU) 594 T (prob. JJ) 747 JJ with an 8 at times 774 JJ Stomping! 828 JJ with an 8 1053 NK poor 1233 high side, CC het 1287 T JJ 1548 T right at dawn, prob DU 1566 a decent 7 but with a huge carrier... really undermod 1575 T Thailand, most likely. Walter, I'm serious, better check your Asian antenna. There just shouldn't be this much difference.
