Another 24 hours, and things change again. This time, the Aussies and some New
Zealanders made quite an impressive showing. The big guns actually weren't that
great, it was the little fry popping up on various channels. 2HH pretty much
ruled 1341 this morning for example and channels like 1152 and 1494 had a couple
of DU stations each on them. 1611 had fairly strong mx, though the rest of the
X-band was buried by local noise. Finally heard Brisbane on 612, but not
strong, and arguing with R Rhema.

Doesn't mean the Asians were gone, just not as strong or as common as yesterday.
Heard N. Korea on 702, and a number of the more common channels, China on
729, 765, 1089 and many of the more common CNR1s. The Japanese were still quite
strong also, mostly on what we'd consider second tier channels at home.

Still no luck on seeing/hearing Guy's 1322 kHz signal, however. And no
evidence of TA carriers last night.

May not have so much DX tomorrow; unfortunately must fire up a number of my own
instruments during prime DX time, and, ironically they're some of the worst
offenders when it comes to electrical noise.

best wishes,

Nick
