Missed the boat a bit sleeping in to 13:23 or so, but then got at the dials. Seemed to be another very good morning with a big difference from yesterday: virtually no DU post-dawn enhancement. I also felt that the JJ were stronger than yesterday, and perhaps the other Asians a bit weaker, although that may have been the result of me getting to the dials later than usual. SF 72, A7, K1 today. A quick bandscan between 13:25 and 14:03 yielded the following, with a "6" unless otherwise noted:

Comment: Weren't we regularly hearing Australia here in previous seasons...virtually nothing this year. 720: CNR2 at 7 level 13:38 738: 7 level CC 747: NHK2 at 8 level 765 774: 9 level JJ 792: music at 7 level at 13:40 801 819: N. Korea at 8 level 828: 8 level JJ 846 855: 8 level N.K with growl 873: 9 level JJ at 13:43 918 936: 9 level at 13:27 (another great performer this year) 945: CNR1 I think at 7 level 963: CRI and coch at 7 level. An underperformer this year. 972: 9 level KK. Great modulation (better than last year. Tx work?) 1008 1017 Pres CRI KK at 7 level 1053: Talk > jammer at 7 level 1134: 8 level ? JOQR at 13:48 1143 1170: CC under KPUG at 7 to 8 1188 1251: 7 level CC. John says prob VOR CC 1269: music at 13:51 at 7 1278 1287: JJ at 8 level 1314, 1332, 1341 1350: presumed JOER coch domestic at 7 level 1440: Very strong JJ at 13:53 with het from 1442! until that signal disappeared abruptly at 13:53:30. 9 level. 1503, 1512, 1557 1566: 8 level HLAZ at 13:55 1575: 7 level VOA.
