I found this morning's TP MW DX to be down from yesterday's amazing levels and quantity, but it was still very worthwhile. I monitored from 1245 to 1415 UTC.
-------------------- 540 UNID with Kiwi-sounding announcer in English at the start of my first Perseus WAV file for the morning. It faded quickly, but sure sounded like R. Rhema programming. 558 JOCR 594 JOAK 603 JJ language here 657 N. Korea, strong 666 JOBK Japan, strong at 1315 693 JOAB very good 747 JOIB usual powerhouse level 828 JOBB good at 1330 873 JOGB Kumamoto, good signal at 1259, parallel to 747 891 JOHK Sendai, mixing with presumed Thailand, fair to good at 1343 936 China 972 HLCA fair to good 1017 Korean language? weak at 1305 1134 JOQR dominant, but a 2nd station buried beneath 1170 at 1314 I found the Chinese and Korean mixing here, and dominating KPUG Bellingham, WA. Thanks, Bruce, for the tip! 1287 JOHR at a good level 1330 1377 China with a great signal 1310 1566 HLAZ, one of the weaker signals of the morning...just fair at best 1575 VOA Thailand at a good to very good level. I noted a new (to me) program this morning. At 1251, I heard the English language intro to a new program called "News Dynamics English". With a straight face, the happy announcer intoned "Today's news is 'the taste of vegetables'". I'll have a recording of this tomorrow on my blog. ------------------------------ Guy Atkins Puyallup, WA http://fivebelow.squarespace.com _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
