Shoulda been in bed hours before, but since I was still awake, I decided to
see what was there. Radio Shack DX394 with Palomar Loop was noisy thanks to
power lines, and Grundig 350 wasn't any better. I threw in some batteries
to get off the grid and poked around. Hets (some strong) on 1206, 1188, 981
(almost breaking into voice), 972, 891, 882, 873, 828, 792 (almost into
audio), 774, 747 (miracle considering KCBS proximity), 621, 567 (another
local miracle), and JOAK on 594. A 20-minute drive would probably get me a
lot more as that would put me on the coast, but DX and sunrise just don't go
together for me anymore.
