Listened from 1350UT for about an hour. Most noticeable difference from other mornings was the generally poor performance of JOUB-774 (JOBB-828 had the usual big strength). Ironically, it recovered sufficiently so that by 1600UT, it and 828 could be heard with the NHK-2 music box s/off at reasonable strength. I don't know how long conditions lasted this morning, as I went off to have coffee with a number of other south Vancouver Island DXers, but even at 1600, there was weak audio from CNR-1 on 639, N. Korea on 657, JOIB-747and VoA-1575.
In general, the DX was very "bitty" (like the TA's have been), a short rise to peak strength, then quickly back into the splatter. So not a stellar morning, except for the lateness of the fade out, and with a continuing emphasis on the low part of the band. pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): 594 JOAK 603 HLSA 774 JOUB, but not until 1430UT 828 JOBB reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise): 153 R.
