A strange morning today, and not what I had expected with the dropping A/K indices (SF 76, A5, K2). Listened between 13:50 (and now, still listening at 15:00). Lots of domestic splatter this morning. JJ were way down (but so was almost everything else, although the CC seemed not too bad). "6" unless otherwise noted:
180: another OC, fairly strong. Don't think this is RR but who knows 279: 531: JJ at 8 level 549: NHK1 at 14:49 at 7 level 558: 8.5 with EZL music, //603 at 14:50. KK 567: JJ not very strong today 7 level 576: 9 level RR, just as was writing them off for the season! 585: 594: 8 level NHK1, but also almost equal level CC station. Not CNR1. Equal in strength at 14:17. Interesting, and not the normal! 603: 8.5 level // 558 at 14:50. KK 612: NHK1 and cochannel Brisbane at 7.5 level at 14:52 621: 7 level 639: CNR1 at 8 level at 14:06 657: N. Korea at 8 level with ++ splatter 675: Vietnam at 7 702: 7 level N. Korea 711: 8 level KBS1 720: CNR2 at nice 9 level today 729: 7 level, not often heard. Not sure exactly who. 738: 7 level music 14:19 747: JJ at 8 level 765 774: 9 level JJ and CC cochannel (fair), at 14:20 783, 792 801: 7 level 14:56 with N. Korea 828: 8 level at 14:21. JJ. Not as strong as usual. 837: 7 846: 7 855: 7 level N. Korea 864: 873: 7 level JJ 882 936: 8 level prob Anhui at 14:25 945: 7 level CNR1 and cochannel 963: 9 level with very good reception of pop music at 14:31. Initially didn't think it was CRI, but checked SW // and sure enough it was them (9450, 6005). Very little talk today. 972: 8 level KK 981 999: 8 level on 998.9 in CC at 14:33 (?) 1008, 1017, 1035 1053: 7 level with talk and jamming at 14;34. KK presumed. 1116 1134: 8 level music and either KK or JJ talk at 14:38 1170: 8 level CC under KPUG 1242, 1251, 1278, 1287, 1341, 1359, 1503, 1512, 1593 That's it for another morning!
