Didn't start until late this morning, 1435UT and following. Judging by some of the things Bruce was hearing, conditions were better further south, or was it the earlier listening? Certainly, I think I missed some of even the limited DX with the later start.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): 594 JOAK 774 JOUB 972 HLCA & that's it reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise): 279 R. Rossii 747, 828 NHK-2 936 Anhui w/CC talk at 1454, poorer earlier 954 JOKR; as John B. observed, this fades up late (although his other example, 603, is not nearly so shy here): not until 1449UT this morning w/JJ talk 1575 VoA not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 558 HLQH //603, both at same strength 945 CNR-1 //5030 w/usual delay 1134 KBS //972 1242 likely JOLF w/mx 1457UT Burbles in the splatter and noise: 711 likely HLKA? 801 hum w/singing that might have been //2850 but too dodgy to say for sure 837 not //5030 or //594, so who?
