The UK had Radio Caroline on 558; Holland had Radio Veronica on 1224 and Radio
North Sea International on 800KHz(correct me if I'm wrong),on FM at 100 Megs
and on Shortwave at 6225 Khz -49M and 9??? -31M.Their ship was called the Mebo
2 and was anchored off the Dutch coast and ran 100KW on the AM and was easily
heard in about 3/4 of Holland.Radio Veronica has survived over the years as a
licenced land based station on 1224 and later on as a nationwide FM network. The
format is still the same.Bill in BC
