Hi all: I just posted an article to DXer.ca and the Yahoo Ultralight Group sites regarding how to feed an antenna output to a portable receiver that doesn't have an antenna jack (or even to those that do). Ferrite couplers, winding wire around the radio, putting a coil on the receiver's ferrite, and other methods are discussed and compared. While I used Ultralight receivers for the testing, the results apply to any portable receiver with an internal ferrite antenna (i.e., most all of 'em!).
The article is in Section 6 of the Yahoo Ultralight Files section, while the link to the DXer.ca site is here: http://www.dxer.ca/file-area/cat_view/87-ultra-light-radio-files-area/97-ulr-antennas Regards - Kevin S Bainbridge Island, WA _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
