Hi Pete, KZIZ-1560 is much more obnoxious on its daytime pattern than at night here, although it will still wipe out 1557 kHz at all hours. And the 1580-TIS stations (still two, I think) seem to have boosted power, and gone to a NOAA weather format. I guess the old repeated warnings about a Mount Rainier "lahar" emergency were being ignored. 73, Gary In a message dated 12/9/2009 8:41:28 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
Gary, I am surprised about KZIZ-1560 splattering because here in NE Tacoma they approach unusability at night. I can understand your TIS problem on 1580, especially since there are twins in your area (or are there actually 3?).
