Well.....I was up late, and not DXing, so this morning, I didn't get to the radio until after 1605UT (local sunrise is 1605 right now). However, there were still some signals, so not sure what I missed, but things seemed to peak somewhat around 1615-1620UT. Best was DYAB-1512 with a call letter ID at 1609, a new logging at home, though it has been tentatively heard here before.
pretty darn good audio, at least briefly (all of it understandable by a native speaker) 1575 VoA at 1621UT reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 594 JOAK 1512 DYAB fairly consistent for about 5 minutes around 1610UT not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 675 likely Vietnam at 1615 Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 567 JOIK //594 at 1612 621 sounded like CC talk at 1613UT 639 CNR-1 //5030 which lagged 639 by around one second 1503 mx, pr-fr //594; JOUK 1566 audio traces, talk; presumably HLAZ Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 774 (but signed off by now, presumably; JOUB carrier?) best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
