The State of Alaska will perform a special EAS test on January 6, 2010 at
approximately 10 AM local time [1900 UT]. The test will exercise the EAN
(Emergency Action Notification) code. This is the code established for the
President of the United States. This code has never been used in a test
exercise before now. That makes this a very interesting test.
