Much better conditions this morning; great shame I had to go to work. Started listening at 1415, and ran for about 45 minutes before dragging myself away for preparing for the day. Another quick listen 45 minutes later verified that the interim period would have been worth sticking around for.
This wasn't October conditions, as most signals heard were in the barely there category, but there were quite a lot of those compared with recent weeks. As usual, fade ups were erratic, but the NHK2 big guns were quite consistent, which has also been unusual recently. Again, they had a 1500UT s/off. pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 774 JOUB 828 JOBB 1575 VoA at 1437 reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 279 R.
