I find that phase-nulling WLW and using USB works pretty well on 690. My big problem there is that my three 50 kW locals gang up to produce an intermod product on 690, covering up the weak signals. Broadband antennas are nice, but they do have that drawback - I guess I need a preselector of some sort ahead of the receiver. Despite that problem, I've managed a few new loggings, KTSM, KFXN and WADS, and have heard CBU (relog) a number of times. No sign of other western stations such as KGGF and KOAQ so far (both would be relogs), or of CBKF-1 and KSTL, which are needed. Cuba and Colombia usually dominate here at night. On 940, I've heard 14 different stations (including WMAC) since the demise of CINW, but only one, KVSH, was a new logging. It's usually a mixture of pesty cheater WGRP and XEQ here at night. Still looking for WECO, WCSW, and several others.
