And in nearly every case, the station will eventually lose the "D" and be back in the FCC's good graces. I learned that the hard way when the Commission first started using "D"; I did mass deletions of stations in my NRC Log and ended up having to reinstate the vast majority of 'em.

It's sort of an FCC form of purgatory: these are often stations that are still operating for one reason or another, but which have to work through some Commission paperwork (or pay overdue fines or somesuch) to get their licenses restored. s _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected] _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
