CFXG-1230 Grand Cache AB, the 50 watt relay of CFXE-EM Edson AB, has applied to the CRTC to move to FM (93.3 MHz, 190 watts, minus 81.7 meters)
<http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2010/2010-539.htm#9> Grande Cache, Alberta Application No. 2010-0970-5 Application by Newcap Inc. to amend the broadcasting licence of the English-language commercial FM radio programming undertaking CFXE-FM Edson. The licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter at Grande Cache, Alberta, to broadcast the programming of CFXE-FM in order to adequately serve the population of Grande Cache. The transmitter would operate on frequency 93.3 MHz (channel 227A1) with an effective radiated power of 190 watts (non-directional antenna with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of -81.7 metres). The licensee seeks to replace its existing AM rebroadcasting transmitter CFXG Grand Cache with an FM rebroadcasting transmitter. The licensee states that, because electrical and other interference levels have increased and the expectations of the population with regard to quality have risen, the low-power AM signal has become unreliable and unsatisfactory. 73, Deane McIntyre VE6BPO _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
