Listened for a bit longer today, starting before 1230UT, and lasting until
after 1300. It didn't seem to be worth getting to the radio earlier, and
although there were some reasonably readable, even good, signals, they were
mostly there for short periods only. There were a fair number of strongish
carriers with little or no audio.

A brief check back at 1326UT yielded weak audio on 963 that seemed DU, and 1566
was still listenable with the lower band noise and splatter at this time.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

HLAZ-1566 at 1240UT, first time at this level this season.

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB at 1303, but hadn't been heard at all earlier
774 JOUB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

828 JOBB at various times
972 HLCA presumed, at 1255UT, big carrier
1575 Thailand per direction at 1301UT; this seems undermodulated right now

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

189 and 279 R. Rossii seemed in // w/talk
1287 JOHR? later on

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

567, 819, 1053, 1098, 1134, 1242, 1475, 1593 all Asiatic but 819 and 1098

best wishes,

Nick
