Barry McLarnon and I must have had some telepathy, Friday night. We heard the same thing on 790! But that revealed a fatal flaw in my "tenuous at best" log keeping. I know that I have logged both Atlanta and Brunswick, GA on 790 but neither is in my logbooks, either main nor ULR. That is odd and disheartening. :) I frequently post logs to the DX MidAmerica website and email them to the IRCA and WTFDA AM lists, so I will have to see if I have any other missing entries. I keep "pencil / checkmark" logs in an old NRC log from 1991 and in Excel, so it normally is just a matter of copying them to the "official" record later.
Well, at any rate, WQXI-GA is "new" again. 799 US-Canadian logs and 209 ULR logs. The ULR logs are barefoot as are a good % of the 799 "overall" logs. 73, Dave in Indy ------------------------------ Message: 6 Date: Sat, 4 Sep 2010 21:17:15 -0400 From: Barry McLarnon <[email protected]> To: Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [IRCA] 790 Black gospel likrely Bamberg SC > ON Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset="iso-8859-1" On Friday 03 September 2010 22:18:01 Saul DX wrote: > Thanks. > > think I actually need WSGW MI... I recorded 790 again last night, and had better luck this time. Just before 0000 EDT, I had the wrapup of the "Georgia high school football scorecard" show, then a nice WQXI ID - a new logging here. In behind them, I heard YVKC with a mention of Caracas (relog). Better yet, at 0500 I had a weak WTSK ID for another new catch. No idea whether they were the source of the gospel music heard at times, but it's possible. WTNY remains a pest here, but with CIGM out of the picture, 790 has become a lot more interesting!
