Things were a little better here this morning, but still not what I'd regard as stellar. Because it's not a work day, I really tried to mine things a bit, and lasted from 1400 to after 1440UT, when the NHK2 transmitters were still holding forth a bit, and showing no signs of signing off, which they were doing at that time a few weeks ago when they were being heard on Haida Gwaii.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 594 JOAK at 1431 774 JOUB 828 JOBB 972 HLCA, not until 1438UT though reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 747 JOIB 1206 Yanbian, faded up nicely at 1417, but pretty poor other times 1287 JOHR waited until 1440UT; some of this readability is due to lower splatter with daylight! 1566 HLAZ not until 1430UT though; quite poor before this not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 567 JOIK //594 585 JOPG //594 at 1424UT 603 HLSA; ID'd by //558 873 JOGB //828 at 1429 936 likely Anhui w/mx; faded up at 1419; this has a strong carrier many mornings 1242 various times; assumed JOLF Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 279 R. Rossii 558 HLQH //603 612 JOLK //594 later on 639 not sure if this was //4460, so unID 801 fair sized hum, maybe some talk; N. Korea? no other N. Koreans however 864 no idea 1044 maybe CRI, but // on SW was even weaker, so not sure; maybe time to cook up a new // list? 1053 talk and strong carrier , so no idea? 1143 Taiwan?? 1179 JJ? 1269 not //1287 1314 JJ? 1377 CNR1?
