Was up earlier today, and had a quick listening session at 1220UT, another at 1340, and a quick final listen at 1415. A good morning for sleeping perhaps.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): nada reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 1287 likely JOHR, very early on 1566 came barreling in at 1230 with the Japanese program, and made a return as the strongest signal on the band at 1416UT not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 747 and 774 were heard earlier with NHK2, later only HLCA-972 was heard briefly at this level Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : heard around 1415UT; gosh, even 747 and 774 only managed this level at this time. 612 seemed DU 828 JOBB Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1475 earlier on best wishes, Nick ********** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
