Can't say this was a much better morning here; I had a bit more time, and by bottom feeding, managed to winkle out a few stations. No, hold on, 594 was quite listenable for awhile this morning, and it's been a couple of days I think since any station could have been described that way, other than ones in the immediate neighborhood. Listened at 1300UT, then 1405 through 1430, on and off, and what there was, was pretty much the bigger guns.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): JOAK-594 at 1421UT reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 774 JOUB not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 747 JOIB 828 JOBB 972 HLCA at 1426UT Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 567 JOIK , seemed //594 at 1428 954 likely JOKR at 1425UT; last year this one was usually a late bloomer 1287 likely JOHR 1566 likely HLAZ 1575 likely VoA Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1242, 1377 best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
