Just sent my loggings for the last several weeks into Patrick for his DXWWW column. My gosh, there was some good stuff about 2 weeks ago. A whole different story now. Listened just after 1500 for about 10 minutes, and except for a couple of likely CNR-1 stations, it was a very slow morning
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 828 JOBB at 1509UT, briefly reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 594 JOAK 1566 HLAZ not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 747 JOIB 774 JOUB Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 639 seemed //6030 so CNR-1 1593 also seemed //6030 (delays confuse the issue) Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 945, 1053, 1287, 1575 best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
