Huh? I was in Kona less than a year ago and I was bristling with a Lowe-pro 20 pound bag of gear; Eton E1, wellbrook antennas, spools of wire, a E100 super-modified with what looked like a stick o' TNT strapped to the top of it. To the best of my knowledge, the TSA has done no such thing. Sure they are "enhancing security" by frisking little old ladies but they are not getting in the way of radio hobbyists in any discernible way. Besides - have a good reason, like self identifying as a radio operator or Ham (I used my certificate) and you are good to go.
