More German medium wave closures announced today.
Sudwestrundfunk will be closing all mediumwave transmitters by the
end of next year. Transmitters listed here, includes high power ones
on 576 666 and 1017:

Annual mains electricity cost of station is 380 000 Euro.
That will set some targets for the TA DXer, particularly in western
North America; 1017 was heard here last season, but things have not
been so promising this season....just a few carriers so far tonight,
and not very strong.
