Started checking the dial around 1500UT this morning....still pretty dead. However, a check back at 1550UT yielded a better top band enhancement than a couple of days ago:
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): not quite reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 1566 HLAZ at 1557, men in CC, one quite animated; still audible though weaker at 1620UT 1593 CNR-1 at 1550UT;// 6030, and more readable, woman talking, oriental singing. not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 1557 presumed Family Radio, Taiwan. man talking slowly; choral mx at 1602UT Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 1377 seemed //6030 so CNR-1 1386 man talking, too murky for language 1422 could be JJ talk? 1467 undermodulated carrier, man talking //1386?? 1503 possibly JOUK, but no // available Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1359 best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
