I have discussed High Speed Internet on the refector before, but I found out today that Charter Cable has a deal for a flat rate of $29.95 a month for 8 MB, and a $5 lease of their modim. They did not mention if I could purchase a cable modim or not, and since I don't have cable to my house, they could run it to the house for another $9.99, instead of the $49.95. So, now I have to make a decision. I sure would like to have the high speed for the computer, and I can afford that, but Charter Cable has had a noise issue and I don't want TVI all over the receivers. Any comments? Thanks. Of course I am still on dialup for Web TV, but I only pay $12.95 a month for the one account and I can always use the dial up for the computer as a backup.
