Last night on 1590khz LSB heard badly distorted audio around 00 20 CDT. This is probably from a defective or overmodulated transmitter. Suspect the source is either on 1580 or 1600khz. This garbled sound is continuous and heard for more than an hour before tuning out. Loop bearing was slightly SE/NW from here.
I'll send anyone a short 15 second audio clip if you are interested in hearing this. For the past few months at night have been hearing similar sounding distortion on 1610khz, but last night it was much more noticable &, clearly heard on 1590khz.
