Same way with record stores.  An owner told me that as recently as the turn of 
the century, they were magnets for young hip musician types.   
Now, it's just the over-40 crowd that patronizes them.  The ones in Knoxville 
(dedicated CD stores, not Borders, Best Buy, etc.'s music departments) have 
fallen like flies over the past decade.  They lost me 20 years ago when they 
dropped LPs.  I've only patronized used vinyl stores and e-stores since then.
