OK. My turn...

2 Seminal moments in radio hobby... maybe 3.

Nov 3, 1973 - Bought DX150B from Radio Shack Store after owning a few old
radios...
even a 6-Tube RCA from the late 30's early 40's

October 1974 - received 1st copy of World Radio TV Handbook

April 1975 - received first sample copy of CIDX Magazine
and IRCA sample a few months later.

Discovering that there was another local DXer and MW guy living
nearby and picking up the phone to introduce myself would change
everything....

That was Nick Hall-Patch.

One does not move forward within the radio hobby inside a vacuum.
Meeting other dxers and the hobby community itself IS the backbone of the
entire experience.
