I have also heard KNBR 2 or 3 times from just NE of Indianapolis in the 80's, on a barefoot Superadio.
The last time that I heard any CA stations was 1993 and it was KFI. I bet that I could get KNX at least once a week, in season, if local WFNI was off. :) 73, Dave in Indy ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Mon, 16 May 2011 19:27:08 -0500 From: Todd <[email protected]> To: Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [IRCA] New Station Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Have you tried for KNBR? They are the easiest SF and the only station heard in recent years for me in the Twin Cities. I know KFEQ is a major pest but if you hear Giants BB... its worth a shot. I have heard KNBR in Cedar Falls, IA back in the 80's. Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone [email protected] wrote: >Rick, > >I lived in Berkeley about 4 blocks from the campus back then. You could buy Tshirts with "The Play" completely diagrammed on them within days. I've not been able to hear KGO here in Iowa or any of the Bay Area stations and I have tried. As close as I have come has been the 1140 station in Sacramento KHTK. > >Steve > > > >Steve Hawkins NG0G >73 49 111 01001001 > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Rick Dau" <[email protected]> >To: "Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America" <[email protected]> >Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 8:55:34 AM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central >Subject: Re: [IRCA] New Station > >I would LOVE to get KGO out here in the Midwest.?
