Wolfman Jack, AKA Bob Smith, and his wife had an easy-listening music program on one of the Shreveport, LA, stations back in the late 1950's. I think the station was either KRMD-1340 or KCIJ-1480. George Carlin started in radio in Shreveport, too, while he was stationed at Barksdale AFB across the Red River in Bossier City, LA. 73 & Good DX'ing, Steve N5WBI "Born in the Ark-La-Tex" ---------------------- Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
