KXL with its big band, ballad and Broadway format and personality DJs was my favorite station when i was growing up in the '40s and early '50s in Corvallis, Oregon. Years later, I heard an FM station, full-quieting, on the road from I-10 down to Douglas, Arizona, solid all the way ... it was KXL via e-skip. I'm still homesick!
